Business & Engineering 1 Comment »

The Drexel Business and Engineering Society, was officially reorganized and recognized as a chapter of the National Organization for Business and Engineering (NOBE).  NOBE is a national society uniting business, management, and engineering organizations from universities coast to coast. NOBE strives to produce and refine leadership internally and develop professional skills in our members that can be translated into success in the business world.  NOBE Drexel Chapter holds dozens of networking, professional, and social events every year both on and off campus.  You can visit our new website at: www.NOBEdrexel.org.  For any questions or more information, please e-mail NOBE@drexel.edu

All students are welcome to join NOBE and encouraged to join one of our three sponsored chapters.

*  Business and Engineering Society: Formerly the Commerce and Engineering Society, the B&E Society is restricted to only Lebow B&E Majors and helps work with faculty, administration, and students in advancing and promoting the B&E curriculum as well as provide B&E networking and alumni events.

* APICS Student Chapter: The Association for Operations Management Drexel Chapter is restricted to those students who are registered student members of APICS.  APICS is the leader and premier source of the body of knowledge in operations management, including production, inventory, supply chain, materials management, purchasing, and logistics.  Many students also sign up for the Institute for Supply Chain Management (ISM).  Drexel APICS members in the past have attended APICS national conferences as scholars, and have attended many events with the local professional Philadelphia APICS chapter.  The APICS Student Chapter has also worked to offer an on-campus CPIM Basics of Supply Chain Management course to all Drexel Students free of charge.

* SAME Student Chapter: The Society of American Military Engineers Drexel Chapter is restricted to those students who are registered student members of SAME.  While many members are Drexel ROTC students, all students are eligible to join SAME for free.  Every month the Philadelphia SAME chapter has a professional or social events with leaders from dozens of business and engineering companies around the area.
