The Marketing and Communication Speaker Series has been planned and organized as a senior project for Katie Ludgate, a student in the Department of Culture and Communication. There are two speakers in this series and they are both coming to campus soon! Please read below for more information regarding the topics of each session.

Social Media and Interactive Marketing

This presentation will focus on social media and interactive marketing – two forms of new media that are being heavily used in the business world today. A video game company’s successful new product launch will be examined because of their innovative use of both of these tools.

The Drexel Finance Association, Drexel Marketing Association, and LeBow Undergraduate Career Services (UGCS), are co-sponsoring a program titled “Market your Dreams, Finance your Future”.

This panel event will feature alumni that are currently completing or have completed a management training/leadership development program. The purpose of this event is to allow LeBow undergraduate students to learn more about the advantages and opportunities that are available through these programs.

Panelists represent the following companies:

• GMAC Bank
• Lockheed Martin
• Susquehanna International Group, LLP
• The Vanguard Group

There will be a Q&A session with refreshments following the panel discussion.

This presenter will dissect what makes a brand, what brand identity actually means and how it differs from branding and will also review some modern day companies to explore the question: What makes a strong brand?
